SWEDEN \u2013 Swedish master of melancholy, Katatonia, has announced a four-disc CD\/DVD set,Last Fair Day Gone Night<\/em>, to be released September 30 on Peaceville.\u00a0Last Fair Day Gone Night<\/em>showcases the dark rock\/metal band at its glorious best, complete with an electrifying set from London\u2019s esteemed Koko venue, with the band\u2019s captivating performance captured on DVD with accompanying double audio disc of the whole concert. A fourth disc also includes a full and extensive (136 minutes) documentary charting the early days and the band\u2019s subsequent rise, as told in the words of band masterminds Jonas Renkse and Anders Nystr\u00f6m.<\/p>\n

Recorded\u00a0during a series of special celebratory shows to mark the band\u2019s 20th anniversary during 2011\u2019s \u2018Last Fair Day Gone Night\u2019 tour, founding members Anders Nystr\u00f6m and Jonas Renkse are joined by drummer Daniel Liljekvist,\u00a0plus guitarist Per Eriksson and bassist Niklas Sandin, for an exhilarating\u00a0evening fuelled by a rich and extensive set of Katatonia tracks both past and present.\u00a0This also includes a special 10th anniversary performance of the landmark 2001 album\u00a0Last Fair Deal Gone Down<\/em>\u00a0in its entirety.<\/p>\n
